HUGE HOG!!!!! - 04/21/14 06:38 PM
These pics show a huge hog from our ranch in Carrizo Springs, TX.
During a hunt in November, I got to the blind at around 5am, and put down my backpack and rifle at the base of the stand. I started to walk down a clearing to spread some corn. I got about 25 yards down the road, when I heard a huge banging sound. I recognized it as a pig or deer slamming against the protein feeder. It sounded big, but then again, everything does at 5am when you are in the dark, alone, and your high-powered rifle is 25 yards behind you. I decided to not run the risk of bumping the pig/deer and headed into the stand to await daylight.
Just before first light, I could make out a shape about 125 yards away, under a feeder...it was either a hoss of a deer or a huge hog. As soon as I could determine it was one of the following (pictured) big hogs, he went off in the brush, never to be seen again, until we found these game trail pics last month. Needless to say, we've got a target on our hands now!!!
