Any ideas? Looks to me like it could be a Barred Owl based on the pictures I'v been comparing, but I have no idea.

Picture was taken in Tulsa, OK this weekend.

Friend of mine is dang near an expert on Barred Owls and knows where a bunch of different family groups hang out. Above is one of his baby barred owl videos, reckon they are more like toddlers or teenagers at that age gettin' into trouble checking out things and being curious.

You got a Barred Owl for sure on that deck.

Those are cool birds. I love watching owls while I'm out hunting

Same here. Although the owl that took up residence in the barn where I keep my duck decoys just about made me crap my waders last year. Sucker flew out right as I was going in at about 4:30am one morning back in January.
