Hey Skinner, nice fish.
No bad days out on the water down there.
Yeh LP was a great day until that storm cell showed up & we had to run. I was just about the last boat out there but when the lightening came I hauled butt. I tried to get around the storm so we could keep fishing but that didn't work, so I gave up & ran for cover. Had to run into Port A & hide under the public pavilion with some other folks for a few hours. Storm passed & we had just enough time to hit my newest mangrove snapper hole on the way back to Rockport. I'm running wide open down the shrimp boat channel and BAM, the motor quits. Ended up being a plugged fuel filter, I keep an extra on board & got her going again but took a little time. I'm just REALLY grateful that the boat broke down AFTER the storm had passed and not while we were running from it. It could have been a really bad day on the water if that would have happened.
My boy also ended up catching his personal best mangrove snapper and a nice sheepshead after that. Good times....
