Coppersmith son - 07/03/12 12:44 PM
I am proud of my son anyway but his progress in working with copper amazes me! The first photo is of some cookers he has been part of making. He is working on tig welding with copper to avoid tin color.
In the background is a copper kettle. This is a OLD shop in Ohio that has produced copper kettles for apple butter, candy, and those BIG drums. A neat old 100+ year old place that still has jackshaft machinery and some mounted on tree stumps.
He is apprenticing under his uncle who is truly a craftsman!
Here is a Harley tank project. He wants to build a copper Harley but the project gets pushed back.
