WOW...they are either really gutsy or really stupid. Even if you stripped the grill, you still have a very nice...diamondplate trailer. How many of those do you see on the road??? Nada. Maybe the LEOs will get 'em. I wish you luck on getting it back...

Re: HELP!!!! (STOLEN BBQ GRILL) - 03/20/12 03:22 PM
Good luck buddy but its common with BBQ pits.
Why would anyone steal a custom BBQ pit?......
You can take a cutting tourch and some paint and have that thing look totally different in 2 hours, and it doesnt have a ser#.
People steal, refurbish and sell those things all the time to Home owners associations, hunting ranches & tailgaters.
Sad truth is that when most people with alot of spare cash laying around are offered something like that at rock bottom price they jump on it.
Sad to say but the market for stolen pits is driven by people who could afford anything they want customs built.....but would rather pay 50cents on the dollar for your hard work!
Good luck buddy I'll keep my eyes out.

Its probably sitting on someones ranch now and that will be hard to find. Really doubt that they stole it to sell it. Probably some younger guys that needed a pit, it happens alot.
I do wish you luck in finding it, and I will keep an eye out for it.

No news. I'm sure its long gone by now.Probably put a low jack on the next one. A customer of mine had two welding machines stolen from a job site in Ft Worth and they found them in San Antonio at a flea market. Problem is, the guy who had them had just bought them and he is out two welding machines and the money he spent on them ! Thanks to everybody keeping their eyes open and posting.

Yikes, maybe they "borrowed" it to smoke an Easter ham and will return it when they are finished. Stranger things have happened.
