Great looking buck. I think he makes ARs. He has tall tines and it makes him look less wide than he actually is.

Also his ears are in the alart position so he's gonna be wider than you think.

Looks legal to me! He's definitely outside the right ear, although I can see how you could question the left.

Here is how I determine age in this case

Round eyes <= 3.5 yrs
Squared Rump <= 3.5 yrs
Darkend Tarsal gland >=2.5 yrs
Upturn at belly and rib cage<= 3.5
