Who uses smaller binos when turkey hunting? - 03/14/24 04:54 PM
I want to get a smaller set of binos for my turkey vest. Also wanted to potentially get some that have rangefinding ability.
Trying not to break the bank here, but want something reliable.
What say the THF?

I use a Swarovski 10x30 CL Companion but there's no rangefinder.

Look at GPO bino/combo. They have a 8x32 and 10x32. They give vet discounts also.

My good buddy, HWY_MAN gave Steve and I a pair of the Zeiss TL 10x25 binoculars. They are small and very nice glass. I typically don't use binos when hunting turkeys as the brush is generally pretty tight where I am hunting.

There are many that are 10X or more.

Other than tree stand hunting in timber I do not ever see the need for anything less than 8x42 or 10x42. But I also use the older bino harness (crooked horn) and I learned a long time ago if I'm going to even have a pair of binos on me they are going to be on my chest ready to use for deer, elk, turkey, small game...or duck scouting. Anything really
