What is the best Wifi game cam?

Guys I'm looking to buy a game camera that will send pics to my phone. I looked at reviews and most seem to have reviews that swing to both extremes so I'm wondering if you all have experience with multiple cams and can share your experience.

I have a Spartan and it is great

WiFi is used to connect devices located in the same building or floor. You want a camera that operates over cellular networks, with LTE being the current 4G system for that. Having looked into these myself, some work through an agreement with a specific service provider (Verizon or AT&T), and a few will only download pictures to a website managed by the manufacturer. The units you want are those that will send photos and video files directly to your mobile device, keeping in mind data rates will apply. And obviously, you're likely to get the best deal by going with a model that works with your current mobile service provider.

One manufacturer offers models that communicate with each other in the field, but still require you to physically download files from one of the devices. This only eliminates you from having to visit all your cameras to retrieve all the files. To the best of my knowledge, these models do not operate over cellular networks. Not sure but they might use WiFi to communicate with each other in the field.

I'm sure those who now use one can take it from here.

Bushnell wireless trophy cam: have 2, love them both!

You mean run off cell towers?? We have several Bushnells. AT&T service works great.

Thanks Dan, senior moment and couldn't remember the "correct" term but I figured those who read the post would KNOW what I was talking about and based on their responses they do.

I have 4 Bushnell cellular trophy cams and they work great! Use Energizer lithium batteries and they go a long time, mine were put out in October and have sent thousands of pics and I just received a warning that 1 of them has battery power below 25%. And they get a better AT&T signal than my Galaxy S7! Cellular plan is paid to Bushnell on a monthly basis with several plans available and they still work as a regular trail cam if you turn off the cellular plan. First 30 days is free including 5 high resolution upgrades, after that $9.99/mth for 1500 pics and 5 more high res upgrades. Thumbnail pics can be sent to an email, text or both. They are also sent to the Bushnell app. Camera settings can be made through the app also, I have not touched the cams since October.

I have a spartan and love it. App is easy to use after everything gets set up. Wish you could have multiple cameras on one att account though

Im still happy with my Covert LTE trail cams.

Two coverts, they require premium batteries, I use Verizon and never had a problem getting signal in Live Oak County. Other than they can be hell on batteries if you use the cheap ones they've been pretty good.

We have solar panels on our Bushnells. They are plug and play. Still use lithium but will last almost a year.

I'm using Snyper cams on the AT&T network - they are great cameras.

You will hear they suck on the internet. Note I said they are great cameras. I've reprogrammed mine to use Google as the back end processing engine as the in-house Snyper network has had its share of problems as they grew (grow) so many of the complaints are not at the hardware layer. If you can handle an extra 30-minutes of configuration time they are the best bang for the buck. Mine have been up for 2+ years, 365 days in the elements without any issues. I've replaced 2 antennas thanks to satans pets (coons). I have 6 running now.

They are reasonably cheap (their Verizon ones are 2x the cost, go AT&T)

They also partner with huntpros.com for portal access. TXTing is SMTP->Carrier->MMS and as I said, I use google for the SMTP->carrier pass off. Couldn't be happier. When people get pissed online about the service, I usually buy their camera for 50-75% retail and almost feel bad doing it

I have 2 of the Stealthcam's and they work great. $10 per month per camera through ATT. I set mine to send pictures twice per day, but you can set it to send as often as you want. The app is easy to use and you can change settings to the camera from your phone. There's no limit on pictures, it just uses your data, but mine don't seem to use much even with a hundred or more pictures per day year round. Battery life is decent, they last about 2 months and I bought the larger rechargeable batteries.

I am using the stealth cam it works great. Make sure you have service were you put it. I have a few verizon cards and Att cards depending on location

How much cell signal is required? Only have 1 to 2 bars AT&T signal at our deer woods......

you cna buy an antenna booster that should help..usuall you would need at least 3 bars..but try sending a pix from your smart phone and if it goes through you should be good to go

Thanks for the reply mow, kind of what I figured. Can talk, text, and send pics from a few spots at our deer woods in northeast red-river Co. Little to no signal at feeders where cameras are, so guess we will still rock on with regular game cams. Hey, lot more than we had ten years ago, so not complaining one bit. Most of all, just enjoy getting away, doing a little hunting and fishing with family!!!!!!!! Where memories are and have been made.

if you can move a feeder where there is a signal
