If someone wrote a book about you as a hunter, what would be the title?

For me, "It's Not About Killing" would be a good choice.

The "Introduction" would be short, sweet, and probably filled with grandiose lies about by hunting skills being comparable to an African bushman.
The chapter on "Tactics" would be thorough but ultimately long winded and of little substance.
The chapter on "Successful Hunts" would be big, loud, boisterous, and flamboyant with little to no substantiation and minimal verifiable successes.
The "Conclusion" would be loved by all only because of the realization that they were concluding an abomination of hunting literature filled with flagrant lies and exaggerations purposefully intertwined with fictional abilities purely for the sole purpose of stroking my already fragile hunting ego.

P.S. The book, titled "The Spectacular Hunting Adventures of Aaron, a.k.a. Dirk Diggler", would be a top seller under: Pseudo Factual Hunting Histories

Re: If someone wrote a book about you as a hunter.... - 07/23/15 12:26 AM

Its hard for me to say for me, but I could do without the summertime and skip right onto huntin time. Hunting is a real body and mind healer for me.. Ive lost close friends that hunted with me through the years and the thought of them not being here bothers me everyday of the year. While Im hunting on the best or worst days for that matter, it bugs the s t out of me that theyre not here to enjoy this gift we have been given. I even think about the dad that I was never raised by, and how he and his dad were both avid outdoorsman and how I wished I could of hunted with them. I can go to the woods and all the BS everyday stress is out of mind and no where in sight. I love to walk to my hunting spots, and it is rather addicting to just take a long walk in the hunting woods, especially when the weather is nice and cold. Mom put a .22 in my hands at the age of 3 and I have been a hunting killing machine ever since. I don't have to worry anymore about bagging the game, because I know its going to happen. The most awesome part about it is, Whats it going to be like, what is it going to look like. And then the memory will be stamped into my brain till the day I die. Try to think of something else that will do that to your memory. Its like a video that will never be erased. Its what I live for. up

Seriously I think Cafes and Campfires is perfect for my style. All I do is eat things covered in skillet gravy and sling arrows at most any living object then make up stories about it around a campfire.
