Well the "anti's are at it again" - 05/13/15 02:54 PM

Came across this page where a group of anti hunters were bashing me and my family. I wouldn't of been as mad but they brought a child into it!!

I agree that they need to leave private pics out of their page, but thats free speac fo y'. I say blast there page with as many dead animal photos as you can. Blast it with animals that have been killed from car wrecks and slaughter house pics. Give them what they want

Don’t let it get to you. These anti’s have never contributed one dime to wildlife conservation much less know what true conservation involves. Their hate is caused by their personal ignorance and mental short comings. Most eat at McDonald’s, Burger King, Long John Silvers, etc and you never see them picketing their hangouts. Their kids have social issues because they believe as parents their job is to be their best friends. Most days they could not tell you where their children are or who they hang around. They blame others for their problems and never take personal responsibility for their own actions.

Keep enjoying the outdoors, all THF members love to see happy well adjusted children. It worked for me one of my children is a chef and man can she cook the protein.

You have my respect.

Re: Well the "anti's are at it again" - 05/13/15 04:45 PM

I've done some reading on how hunting celebrities deal with the anti's. Seems as though the best defense is to simply ignore them and their pathetic attempts to call attention to themselves. It's very sad that they have to stoop to the level of hacking peoples private FB pages to try and spin up controversy and attention. The fact that it took 5 months for anyone to acknowledge their post about Travis tells you how very very very little effect they are having. I'm sure they've had more hits on their site today than they've had in 6 months... and it's all views by hunters who are not going to be swayed to their cause.

The problem there, Colt, is that you murder English; you don't hunt it in pursuit of a perfect specimen to honor it. banana

As to the viciousness of the attacks on Travis, it is infuriating. I hate it for you. I think dkershen's strategy suggestion may be the best course of action.

That's a pretty low move on their part for involving your kids. However I think dkershen is right, the best thing to do is just ignore them. I think the only time I would take action on what they say would be if they were threatening me or my family.

They are all internet BAs. If one were to unplug from social media for a few weeks, it'd be hard to get offended by those that choose to not live beyond the cyber-sphere. The outdoorsy folks understand that. We should pity the ones that don't get out in the woods; a virtual world is all they know.

Anti hunting activists vote. That is troubling. I wouldn't worry about those fools, not acceptable involving children but not sure what can be done about that.

Re: Well the "anti's are at it again" - 05/14/15 07:38 AM

like all things leftist and stupid you can beat them simply with reason

1. if you are a Christian, Jew or muslim then your religious text are filled with passages dealing with the proper use of animals as food....Jesus ate the lamb at the last supper and fed the masses with a loaf of bread and a fish

2. if one wants to make the argument "that was written by man" yes you can make that argument, but it just shows that man has consumed animals for pretty much all of their written history and even before that (cave paintings ect and the general migration following animals and seasons)......there is no reason to listen to a moron that wants to go against centuries of history

3. if one does not believe in religion well then they are surely a believer in evolution (the two do not always have to be exclusive either you can believe things evolve without believing man evolved from apes, but those would be few and far between)

so if one believes in evolution they simply have to believe in the fact that animals eat other animals and especially at the top of the food chain animals eat other animals

not to mention that if you believe that man has evolved from animals or from anything well you have to believe and understand that man has the teeth to eat meat.....man does not have teeth that continue to grow and thus man cannot browse on the ground which wears teeth down in the front

man also cannot continuously chew cud and other forages and cellulose materials with their back teeth which causes wear on those teeth.....this means the consumption of cellulose, grasses and forbs are out for man

not to mention that man has not evolved to have the digestive system to convert cellulose and forage and forbs into useful energy and muscle mass.....but of course man can eat cattle, deer and other animals that CAN convert cellulose to muscle mass and man can consume them and digest them and convert them to energy and muscle mass

so really there is no logical way to get around the fact that man is made to consume meat......if you are a believer in religion well the three major world religions are filled with text on ways to prepare and use animals as food.....and it is clear that man has the dentition and the digestive system to consume meat and not forage, cellulose and forbs while many animals do

also for the fools that would say that raising cattle ect for meat is damaging to the environment....well they are too stupid to understand that not all land is sitting there waiting to be farmed and row cropped.....some land is only suitable for animal grazing period......not to mention those type of idiots are often "organic" types as well.....and they ignore that most organic fertilizer comes from confined animal operations even if it is "free range" or "more space" animal ag

it is just complete and total ignorance of farming and the circle of ag and what it takes to feed a population of any size.....if they are not happy about that they should be the first to off themselves ans an example....but alas they never take anyone up on that offer

The guy is posting from Africa, talk about the king of IBA's. These people are warped in the head but the good news is the research that shows vegans die younger.

"animal rights" has to be the dumbest term ever coined. They are animals...unless they pull off some type of Planet of The Apes deal, they have no rights. Pets excluded of course.

Sorry your family has to go through this.

Very sorry your family is having to go through this. Your daughter should be very proud of her accomplishments. Tell her there is a whole army of us out here who will fight for her right to enjoy her hunt.

Re: Well the "anti's are at it again" - 05/15/15 01:24 PM

Sorry for this happening. They involve your children because they usually don't have any of their own. Of course they're usually very pro-abortion. Humans are the scourge of the earth, etc., etc. They don't care about anyone except themselves and their twisted, sanctimonious Disney belief system.

I don't do Facebook and I don't post pictures of any family member anywhere. I made the mistake of posting a picture on here of a professional hunter that was recently killed, posing with a sable he'd guided me to. Within twenty minutes it was being used by some damaged young girl commenting beneath one of the stories of his death.

Forgive me if it's posted above, but there's a good article in the most recent LSON (Vol. 11, Issue 18) regarding the psychology of online threats, particularly those aimed at women.

You could always contact them and say your going to pursue legal action for slandering your family. Like you it wouldnt bother me until the kids get brought in to it.

I find it ridiculous that a huge number of people in this great country SERIOUSLY ABUSE their freedom of speech.
Just because one does not agree with another doesn't mean that he or she must publicly disparage them. Thumbs down to these haters.
