Has anyone noticed any rut activity in Jones county yet? Here in Palo pinto County we saw a BIG mature 10 point standing in the middle of the coastal by himself with his neck swollen.

I've seen doe being chased in southern taylor county. All manner of daytime activity.

Seeing a doe or 2 getting chased isn't quite enough for me, when you see the older bucks on the run after does, then I consider the rut on. Personally I think it is a couple of weeks too early for the rut in Jones county.
