The most rediculous mounts you've ever seen

I've seen some cross-eyed critters, some lopsided ugly culls, even a mountain lion engaged in combat with an undersized bobcat. Whats the ugliest or most rediculous mounts you've ever seen?

The taxidermists in Africa tend to get creative with Baboon mounts. Here's a clean one I have a pic of..

There's a bunch of crazy ones around, especially in the Buck Horn Saloon. I'd say a very large percentage of the most ridiculous mounts I've ever seen though have been cats. They must be REALLY hard to do, because very few taxis make can make them look good.

That bobcat that was posted on here about 6 mos ago is the fugliest mount ive ever seen

A couple weeks ago, I was at the Antique Center in Houston. They had an OLD caribou mount that had the antlers backwards...

Sure it was a caribou and not piere David deer.

Yea, I've seen a bunch of bad Bobcats. Must be real hard to get the eyes right on them. Seems like 50% have something off about them.

Here's something you don't see every day.
17 lifesize Ibex supported on 1 hoof.

That is one of the best BobCats I have seen

Amarillo Taxi, that is a bad [censored] mount. Do you have a bigger picture or any other pictures of other mounts like that. I'm assuming thats from a taxidermy show, perhaps the worlds?

This years World Taxidermy Championships had a lifesize bull moose being attacked by 8 wolves all supported by 1 hoof of the moose. It's a stunning piece but I doubt that Dennis would appreciate me posting a picture of it on a thread titled "rediculous mounts".

That mount was done by Roy Holdridge from Granbury.
It cleaned up at the Texas Taxidermy competition last year.
Judges Choice Best in Professional division.
Peoples Choice Best of Show.
Best of Category Professional.
Al & Evelyn Holmes Best Habitat.
1st Place Winners Ribbon in Professional Division.
He then took it to the National Show and won ribbons there also.
The picture does not show it but the Impala is not touching the ground.
The attachment for the whole mount is the piece of driftwood behind the skull.
Roy is obviously a talented artist.
Deewayne, you may be thinking of Dennis Harris from Michigan.
Dennis "Air" Harris is well known in the industry for his extreme wildlife poses.

Don't have any on hand but I can't count all the times I have seen a whitetail buck mount "smiling". I'm pretty sure they don't smile.

The 2 bobcats that keep surfacing on here are just hard to beat. With the blue eyed, crazy grinning mt lion a close 2nd.

BMD,my brother lives in heath and Dave dooley did his bobcat too.I dont have pics but yours and his look REAL.

I saw a mount at a Dallas Hunting (not Gun) show once that was a full size 180 class Whitetail being chased by a Coyote or Wolf. I don't remember which. The Deer had all 4 feet in the air and the "dog" was at its rear hindquarter with only 1 foot on the ground supporting the whole mount. It definitely made you stop and look.

My heart sunk when I went to pick up this aoudad I had killed at Caprock Canyons state park a few years ago. The taxidermist I used had broken his leg and without my knowledge let his son attempt to do the mount.

Thanks to Mulie_Mike saving and packing out a cape for me, it is currently being remounted by a different taxidermist Aaron/Texaswildlife.

A friend of mine growing up had an armadillo mounted on his fire place...damn they are ugly up close...

John is that a big horn, auodad cross? Its really not funny but you gotta laugh. Glad you got another cape, lets see it when it comes back as a pure blood auodad.
