Academy dropped CVA Elite Stalker single shots to $159.99

Anyone have one of these. If so are the accurate and a good buy. Im thinking really hard about getting one in 30-06 and 22-250. Let me know what ya'll think of them.

Are the barrels interchangebale on these? if so, I think I will own one by the end of this week...

I think the "STALKER" is a black powder. The "APEX" has interchangeable barrels.

I have no idea guys. Might just call Academy and see, it dosnt say anything on the ad about being able to change barrels. Im getting one either way. I did a search on them and they are saying that the barrels are the same barells they put on the high dollar CVA. Just want to hear some experiences with these before i buy 2. LOL Definately getting the 22-250 but heard to stick to lower calibers with cheaper single shots. dont know if thats true, hope someone can answer this for me.

These DO NOT have interchangeable barrels. But its still a good price if it shoots good groups.

here's a little info on the CVA rifle's. You can read it and decide for yourself. Just thought I'd pass it along since I ran across it. Personally, I think I'm gonna pass on 'em.
CVA Rifle information

The Stalker is basically the same as the Optima Elite, difference is the Elite can change barrels. I have the Elite in .243 and it has been a very nice rifle for me and shoot MOA. The Stalker wasn't out yet when I bought mine but knowing that additional barrels are $200 or you can buy another complete rifle for less I would get a Stalker in each caliber you want and disregard not being able to switch barrels.
The gun is well made and the stock has a good feel to it.

Im gonna get one if there are any left.

got one in staninless for my son in 30-06 shot under inch at hundred yards off tailgate of truck. Backed up to 300 and put two about 2 and half inches apart I would say it is a keeper

i got the 243 and seems to be a great gun at a great price. its not my main gun but for that price i couldnt pass it up. it was 179 when i got mine.

i always get leary when centerfires are that cheap.

Im usually the same way, but last year I bought the marlin xl7 from academy for $269.00 and It was a great gun. I sold it after the season to my brother and I regret it. You cant get one for less then $375 - $400 now. And have read up on them and the are saying they are the most accurate out of the box gun in the last 50 years. Just dont want to pass this one up and it turn out the same way.

i guess its a trial and error type thing.

my buddy bought a rem 710 when they first came out. biggest POS ever assembled. i could throw baseballs at 50 yards and get better groups.
