YOUR FIRST RIMFIRE, RIFLE, PISTOL, AND SHOTGUN??

I know we have done this before but its been awhile.
So what was your first Rimfire, Centerfire Rifle, Pistol, and Shotgun??

Here are mine:

Rimfire- Old Springfield Model 15 single shot 22. My dad paid $7 for it from a co-worker. I still have it.

Centerfire Rifle- It was a custom something or another in 308 Winchester. Cant remember much about it. It was stolen in 1997.

Pistol- Taurus Model 441 stainless 4" barrel in 44 Special. I sold it to my dad many years ago.

Shotgun- New England 20 Gauge single shot. Bought it from a friend of mine for $20. It was stolen in 1997 as well.

first rimfire was a model 6 remington falling block that was made in the early 1900's. killed alot of stuff with tht gun, shooting little .22 shorts. was my great uncles, who i never got the chance to meet. still have the gun.

first shotgun was a stevens .410 that my dad bought me at a pawnshop for around $30. never could hit very much with it so a few years later i bought myself a 20 gauge pump. sold it to a buddy about a week after i bought the 20.

first pistol was one i bought when i was 17, ruger stainless blackhawk in .357. sold it a few years later to finance my first business.....it failed miserably. wish i still had that gun.

first rifle was a winchester 94 in 30-30 when i was 10......never killed anything with it until many years later, it was replaced with a ruger .270 that i still have. the 30-30 was lost in my parents divorce after i left it in my stepdads gun cabinet

I still have all of these guns and would never part with any of them. Its been 16 years since I got my first one. And many many memories with all of them.

Centerfire Rifle- Remington 243 - Sold luckily before break in

Pistol- Hi Standard .22 - Still have it

Shotgun- Youth Remington 20GA pump - Stolen

Rimfire : Marlin Mod. 60 : Bought with snow shoveling money when I was a kid

Shotgun : 870 Wingmaster 20 Ga. : Early Christmas gift from my father when I was probably 11?

Rifle : Model 700 "Mountain" .243 : Another gift (I love my dad!)

Pistol : Springfield Armory Mil Spec .45, bought it cheap, but had to sell it to make ends meet when I was married.

Never owned a rimfire.

Shotgun was a 20 ga Remington single shot my daughter is using.

Rifle was a Remington .223 with a shortened barrel and stock my daughter will use this year.

Pistol is a Beretta PX4 9 mm sub compact.

Rimfire: Rossi pump with the stock cut off...gun is literally not 24" long. Got it as a baby shower gift I'm told.

Centerfire: Ruger No. 1 Carbine. .243 with the stock sawed off. That gun would stomp the crap out of me and I was terified of it the first three years I shot it. First deer I ever shot was a dumb spike. I was five he was two and I shot 5 times at him. Got scoped on the last one. Started my kiddo off with something a little smaller...

Shotgun: Winchester youth 20

Pistol: Bought a Glock about 10 years ago.

Centerfire - Remington model 7 243. I'm and idiot for selling it. However I now have my dads Rem 700 Bdl in 30-06 that his dad gave him when he was 15. My dad named it after a dog that they would hunt with. We call it ol Henry because when Henry barks you know there's meat in the tree. I love this gun and will NEVER sell it.

Rifle - Norinco SKS that I bought for 175 with syn. stock and 30rd mag, traded it to my dad for the Ruger Security Six below

Pistol - Ruger Security Six SS 6" 357mag, stolen in 2003

Shotgun - J.C. Higgins model 101.7 .410 SxS that my mom gave me for my 14th birthday. It has a special place in my safe and still goes hunting every couple of years.

My 1st shotgun was an H&R single shot 410. My first 22 was a Ruger 10/22, I still have it but had to replace the stock, the original got cracked. My first centefire rifle that I hunted with was a Remington 700 ADL 243, but it was a loaner from my older brother. When I was about 15 my dad gave me an old Winchester model 100 in 308, and that was the first rifle that was actually mine. My 1st pistol was a Glock 22 40 cal my dad bought me when I started the police academy. I still have all of them except the 243, I gave it back to my brother but he still has it as far as I know.

Rimfire- Christmas 8 years old, brand new Winchester model 94 22

Centerfire- Christmas 10 years old, brand new Winchester model 94 30-30

Shotgun- Christmas 9 years old, Winchester mod 370 single shot youth model 20ga.

Still have all 3 some 40 years later, and won't sell them for the world!

Pistol: cheap 22 revoler don't remember make. Given to me by step dadat age 15. When I went I the Navy. My brother sound it for drug money. Same with remfire. UGH.

Shotgun: Stevens 410 single shot. Given to me by my dad, now my sons first, hopefully someday his kids first. A long way off I hope. He's 10.

Never owned a rimfire until I was an adult. It's a Mossberg model 152 or something like that. A small semi-auto built way back when. love that little rifle.

My first long gun was an H&R 30-30 with a 20ga barrel to go with it.

First handgun was/is a 1911 45acp.

Rimfire - .22 Chipmunk, I got when I was 5.

Centerfire - A Thompson Contender Rifle ion .223

Rimfire: JC Higgins (Sears & Roebuck) .22LR bolt action- My grandpa bought it for my dad who eventually gave it to me. Still got it and still very accurate.

Centerfire Rifle: Smith & Wesson 1500 (Howa) 7mm Rem Mag when I was 15.

Shotgun: Winchester Ranger 12 ga. when I was 13 and still have it.

Handgun: S&W 686 .357 mag when I went to the Police Academy at 21 (half a lifetime ago).

Rimfire, either a Marlin 60 that I shot when I was in boy scouts. I am pretty sure we bought it at Target. Or it may be a Savage 24 22/410 with a Tenite stock. Don't know where it came from, maybe my grandfather. I sold it as a teenager in a garage sale. I so wish I still had it and will look for another just like it Tenite stock and all some day.

Centerfire. Marlin 30-30. Had a girlfriend in high school cheat on me with an older guy. I went to his apartment to confront him. Introduced myself and my relationship to the girl. But I also saw a lever gun on his wall behind him and asked about it before he could respond to my original introduction. He offered to sell it to me at a ridiculous low price. I bought it on the spot. Nothing more was said about my EX girlfriend by either of us. Gun was then stolen from me by someone who I THOUGHT was my best friend. Never got it back. Never got the girl back either. Both good things at that point in my life.

Old S&W Chief's Special 38 I think it is called. It was my Fathers. He owned a gas station in Farmers Branch in the late 1950s, early 1960ish. Before I was born. It was the store protector. It was given to me as a young teenager. Talk about times changing!
I thought it was stolen during a break in. Same one my marlin was taken. Found it at my parents house in my old room just a few years ago. It was in a corner at the back of a tall cabinet where I must have stashed it, then forgot assuming it had been stolen.

Shotgun. Family guns that are mine now, but more just in my possession rather than first shotguns. Champion single shot 12 that was given to my Father for his 12th birthday by his father. Stevens "Long Tom" 12 that my Grandfather traded a fishing reel for when he was just a kid. First officially for me was a Japanese copy of a winchester .410 single shot. I traded a six pack of Lone Star Longnecks and $10 bucks for it behind the shool one day. Still have all three.
