Can be very good depending on the area. Numbers won't be as high as other parts of the state, but there are some real bruisers in those parts.

There is a large variance in quality and quantity of deer in different parts of the county. Up North and East of Dickens is the Afton area, which has a lot of deer and in some areas a lot of hunters. As you move West towards Crosby and then South of Dickens you find some areas of fewer hunters, but you may only see a couple of deer in a weekend. Some parts are overhunted which will limit trophy hunting, but others are not. At one lease in East Afton we once had I could see seven deer blinds and they were all within a mile each direction of our lease. There were a lot of 1.5 y.o. bucks and does, but no real trophies. It was a great meat lease. We decided to find another place with fewer hunters and better chance of quality deer so we moved South.
