I'm thinking of going to the well for one: Walter Prescott Webb's "Texas Rangers, a Century of Frontier Defense." I know there are newer ones. Any other thoughts? Been years since I was at the museum in Waco.

Webb’s book is a good one. Once used as a textbook, I think. I have a copy.

The real Texas Rangers don't kneel and wear BLM shirts.

I read Webb's book and 'The Men Who Wear the Star" by Charles M Robinson III. Both good. There is a third one I read years ago that covers a lot of the 20th century, but I can't find it in my library.
Been to the museum several times.
