I need one with larger numbers and letters, so I don't need my reading glasses to use it...

Lots of texts, calls, mail and EMails from people I don’t know. A lot of them political. Got a call today from an auto dealership trying to get me to come look at what they have for sale.

Car Warranty places mostly the last few weeks trying to sell me a warranty on a truck or car I do not own.

"Operator, I'd like to make a long distance person to person call." Call correct time, I need to set my watch.

I'm just sad that I now see a thread with this title and I instantly click on it.

Remember if you were traveling in the 1960's and 70's and you needed to contact someone so you pulled over at a gas station and put your dime into the pay phone - if it was long distance the operator would tell you how many coins to put in and if you talked too long they would come back on and ask for more coins. Good gosh things have changed

I never got to see the dime days, it was always a quarter for me. I carried a handful of them to make calls when my pager beeped.

My mom does too. She must have got that number in the '80s.

Yep, remember those, like the rotary accents lol Party lines and calls cost a dime to start, hated calling home collect, had to "splain" that.

Remember when beepers came out, if you didn't have one on your person visible for the "cool factor", you where behind the times.

Just crazy what is out now.

My youngest son & I were at a flea market type sale one day and came across an old rotary phone. He had no idea how it worked.

Yeah, I wore a beeper for many many years being on call in IT. folks asked if I was a doctor or drug dealer smile
