Ridiculous that 2 people have to kill and harm others who are just trying to celebrate. I hate that the US has come to this, but these kinds of celebrations are likely coming to an end soon. There's no way to actively patrol that many people.

Some heroes in the crowd today tackled one of the shooters.

I hate that in todays world you want to avoid places with large amounts of people. If you watch the video on full screen, you can clearly see a lady pick up what looks like an AR and throw it to the side. Looks planned to me

So was it a mass shooting at the parade or just normal thug violence nearby?

No doubt we’ll see a Travis Kelve commercial endorsing gun control.

Get your vaxx, drink bud light and give up your guns.

It’s fun, it’s liberal.

Looks like no one knows yet. With 11 children shot including a 6 yr old, it sure makes you wonder unless a shootout started over an argument and they were collateral damage. At this point I’m left with just crazy F’n people.

The Washington Post reports that the shooting stemmed from a dispute among 3 people, 2 of which were juveniles. So at least 2, if not 3, gangbangers. One woman killed, 22 injured. Half of the injured are younger than 16. Here's a victim's account:

"Shooting survivor Jacob Gooch Sr., who was shot in the ankle, told CBS Thursday he overheard an altercation prior to the shooting, in which a girl told someone else, “Don’t do it, not here, this is stupid.”

Gooch – who said his wife and son were also shot – told “CBS Mornings” his wife and daughter then saw someone draw a gun.

“My daughter said that some lady was, like, holding him back,” Gooch said, “and people had started backing up and then he pulled it out and just started shooting and spinning in a circle.”"

I guarantee if they executed them (insert your preferred method) today at 6pm on the news there would be less of these happening.

Our government and politicians don't want this to stop or they would stop it...sadly these events are HUGE fundraising opportunities for both sides. Sickening!

Wouldn't change the groups behavior one iota but it will change the behavior of the one they kill.

I’ve interviewed thousands of gang members. They don’t expect to live past age.25 so consequences aren’t much of a concern for them.

Yep AOW for sure. People are pretty oblivious to these laws. I’ve seen several on here and ARCOM post AR pistols for sell with a VFG attached to the rifle.

Any Other Weapon. Basically same process to get an SBR through ATF except it only costs $5 for tax stamp same as short barreled shotguns.

Any AR pistol with vertical forward grip attached is considered an AOW and requires tax stamp.

So it is against the law to carry is the significance?

Fed charge. BOP. No parole. Send him to a BOP in Alaska and see how it works out for him.

Wow, I didn't know that. So, I assume that doesn't apply to 16 inch carbines? I could see thousands of folks breaking that law and not even know it.

Re: KC Super Bowl Parade Shooting - 02/16/24 12:50 AM

So now they are saying this started with 2 juveniles in dispute. So how do 22 bystanders get shot and the 2 juveniles don’t get shot?

Never heard of that. Thank y’all for informing me.

Someone should pass some laws on these AOW’s and make some hoops to jump through so people don’t use them to kill other people.

I don't agree with the whole AOW thing, but it's there, so might as well use it on a POS like this guy.

Negative you can actually carry an AR pistol if you can conceal it because it’s considered a “handgun” the issue is with the vertical foregrip he has on the weapon. Nothing under 16” can have a VFG unless it’s an SBR or AOW. If it’s an AOW you’re not allowed to put a stock on it only SBR’s with the $200 tax stamp can have stocks.

Not in state court. I have never seen in done in Fed court, is that what you are talking about certifying a juvenile in the federal system?

It was done in state district court frequently. I never could get an AUSA to get on board with certifying in federal court but I never had a Super Bowl parade with 22 hits and an AOW used. It is an option if they want to and this one certainly has the potential with the notoriety of the offense.

Re: KC Super Bowl Parade Shooting - 02/17/24 05:07 AM

The cliff note version is.

Some gangbangers from the hood, had a genius plan to get the jump on rival gangbangers at the crowded parade. They have illegal firearms and shoot recklessly, seriously injuring many innocent, law abiding citizens including children. Killing 1.

Very little suspect information is being released. Left wants guns banned for law abiding citizens, even though the perpetrators broken dozens of laws.

Should still be a larger story. But, it’s not.
