Bore Cost for Pipeline? - 02/13/24 11:22 PM
Do y'all have any idea what it would cost to bore/tunnel an 8 inch pipeline?
The city is wanting install a pressure sewer line across the front of my property, but I do not want the surface disturbed.
The length of the line would be 1167 feet.
Any estimates on boring costs would be appreciated. Thanks!

Boring could be up to twice as much per foot depending on if the city has the equipment or would have to sub it out. From my experience; the city is going to do whatever is easiest and cheapest for them.

They probably have some kind of easement where they can do it whether you like it or not
Bing search says $10 to $30 per foot.

I sat on many pipeline bores in my working days, never had anything to do with the money end of it. I know that boring takes longer and there is a lot of factors that would impact the cost. All bore companies and operators are not created equal. I know this doesn't answer your question. Good luck .

We got a quote to bore a hole under a road to run electrical underground instead of over the top of the road. The road including the shoulder was 22’ wide.
If I remember correctly they quoted us somewhere around $30k.
Ended up going over the top of the road
