Any Manual Transmission Techs Here? - 01/28/24 06:04 AM
Specifically about a Tremec 6060 6spd. 2012 Camaro SS w/65k miles on it that just developed a "clunk" emitting from the tailshaft area when taking up slack in the driveline. It's annoying as hell, and research shows it's common across several makes and models using the 6060, and dealers are telling everyone that it's normal. I call on that. It's not the u-joint, carrier bearing, rear end, or guibo. I can make it happen under the car turning the driveshaft back and forth by hand, it's coming from the transmission.
Hoping to learn what it might be, and if it's something that an be dealt with from the tailshaft end or if the trans will have to come out to fix it?
Thanks
