A real Chupa Story

So I hunt on this elderly man's place and help him with a few things being he is in his mid 80's and hunched over pretty good. Still has cows/chickens and such. He is a little eccentric and says some starnge things. He has asked me not to shoot Chupacabras and I agreed and now he has given me the green light to go ahead and trap or shoot them but bring him the tail for testing. Ok I say, that is fair. So I start to research him a bit more and he is the one who shot the "Elmendorf Beast" years ago and I just had to laugh. I will include the link and see what you guys think. Not a UFO or a Black Panther sighting but it is confirmed strange.

Yeah, I shot a chupacabra from a ufo with a .22LR inside a high fence. Those things cost more than 200” deer, I would go chupacabra hunting again if budget allowed. Those suckers taste better than all the whooping crane and jaguar I’ve ever eaten.

With the new chupacabra antler restrictions in place we should start seeing better ones pretty soon.

Had a juvle Chupa at my feeder but was so quick I couldn't get a shot off.

People never cease to amaze me.

Guess the hairless beasts never migrated much past I-10, just too cold up here.

It's not really hunting unless the chupacabra is free range and I wouldn't shoot one with anything less than a .223.

I know growing up, there were a few up in the Panhandle with one being caught on camera at the Amarillo Zoo in the recent past. With that being said, we were out roping jack rabbits out of the back of a '49 Ford pickup. We jumped one and old Larry roped it. They are just too strong and fast, Last we saw of it, it headed down into an arroyo. We stopped and smoked another fatty, maybe 2 I can't remember. I do remember, those cods were bigger than a billy goats.

I've heard tell of one running down a roadrunner, the chupa had time to slow down and have its way with Wiley coyote and still catch the "beep beep" roadrunner.

I agree it looks like a coyote with mange , very mangy. Weird overbite for sure

Went hog hunting with my dad and brother out in the West Texas
boonies back in Nov. ‘22.

Was in a stand all by self and surrounded by silence.
Had been there about an hour and noticed movement just beyond the feeder.
Kept staring at where I saw some movement,when I saw something dark and a little bigger than a human step
out of a stand of mesquite trees and start heading towards the feeder.

It moved in a rather fluid manner and though slightly hunched over,it moved with purpose.

I’m looking at what’s walking in my general direction and decided to put whatever it was, in the sights of my Fal.

Apparently it must have heard me moving around in the blind and stopped dead in it’s tracks.
Damn thing stood there motionless for what seemed forever and started sniffing the air.

In a matter of seconds,ol’ chupa looked right at me and let out a loud snort then a low growl.
Damn near pee’d myself and flicked off the safety and prepared for the charge of a slightly annoyed and seemingly
pissed off chupa cabra.

Well….Much to my surprise and great relief the beastie threw up it’s right arm and flipped me off!!!!!
Then it turned around and disappeared into the silence of the West Texas mesquite flats.

Never will forget that day.

You just gotta know where the Chupacabra live. Shot this one in 2013 around Stockdale, TX.

Hey they taste like chicken!

Ha! This past November I was sitting in a stand for the evening hunt and ended up sitting extra late waiting for the deer to leave. They finally left and as I was gathering stuff up to head back to my Jeep I catch some movement down by the feeder. I put my binoculars on it and it looks like a little two foot tall fat man standing there with his arms sticking out to the sides. I was like "what the heck is that?" I kept looking and after a bit it dropped back down on it's all fours and waddled off. Turned out to be a porcupine. I had never seen one stand up on it's hind legs before. It really had me confused for a bit. Thought maybe the alien invasion had started.
