A good story in this crazy world - 10/26/23 10:44 PM
With all the negativity nowdays thought I would share a wonderful story.
My beautiful 42 year old daughter was diagnosed with liver, ovary, and colon cancer around 3-4 months ago. She is in excellent condition and no family history. She and her husband have 5 children still at home. She has been a Special Education teacher for over 25 years.
When the news hit it was devastating for all of our very close family members. So we wanted to get her into MDAnderson of course but they were "full". But out of nowhere a friend knew one of the MDA board members and got her an appointment at MDA.
Long story short - The MDA surgeon did a scope on her to check some abdomen cancer he was concerned about - So the scope found the abdomen fluid was not there. He came out and told my SIL that he had no explanation on where it had gone but it was not there! I thought "I have an explanation - hundreds of people who were praying for her"
So end of the day they did an 11 hour surgery on her and removed her ovaries, one side of her colon, and 30% of her liver. She has now been home for the past 3 weeks and is recovering well. Surgeon said they got it all and will monitor going forward.
My message is this: when you post "prayers up" please back it up with a real prayer. God is so good and has blessed my daughter beyond compare. Pic is my daughter and wife.
