Shipping wooden stools

Shipping wooden stools - 10/19/23 01:20 AM

To jolly old England is expensive. I made two stools, which I posted pictures of a while back. Knowing full well it was gonna cost me, I asked the SIL if he’d ship them. I have moments of mental clarity. They are his direct relatives after all. UPS wanted $800 to ship. Good grief! So, I ask you worldly wise fellows how you’d suggest the shipping be done for a less painful fee.

The stools are like the red one,,but are in shades of blue. The larger green stool I made for my neighbor. It’s good for sitting on while you work on annoying stuff like lawn mowers and ATVs and tractors.

What about USPS? I buy some dog meds from UK, they come USPS.

Break them down, write out assembly instructions, include whatever tools are needed for assembly.

This is the proper packaging to ship your stool.

$800 is ludicrous. Go to Parcel Monkey dot com and get them to quote it.

The SIL says he’s researching it, and he has a high level of googlefoo.

Why not mail them $20 and they can build their own?
