Our company has threats daily.

Our host is in Georgia, but we are actually on what is called a "managed cloud" service. We've been on this service for about 6-7 years.

When I say Palo alto, they are a network security company that provides firewall and monitoring software. We use them at work and we get attempted hacks on the regular. Glad they found the problem, its smoking now!

That's called the Internet. If it's connected and there is a service exposed it gets reconnaissance probes, vulnerability scans, and exploit attempts. It has happened since day one. Distributed attack infrastructures can be rented for cheap. Need a good firewall (Layer 3 and 4) with IDS and IPS and, in the case of a web service for example, a WAF (Layer 7). Sitting behind a CDN with DDoS protection, such as Cloudflare, has big benefits. They can even be used to the degree of not exposing your own addresses to the public Internet - the addresses are only accessible via the CDN meaning only filtered traffic gets proxied.

Yeah, it was always super fast early morning and then slowed down when people got on it...I just assumed it was a high traffic issue...not a cyberattack from China. Nice to have it back up to speed.
