Bourbon has become like Tex-Mex. You can find some anywhere but its not for everyone and tastes/opinions vary widely.

It's hilarious to read people bagging on this brand or that brand. Do a little research and you may be surprised at how many labels come from the same distilleries.

Yeah, I was shocked when I found out that Buffalo Trace and Eagle Rare have the same mash bill, just that ER is aged longer. I don't like BT at all, but I do enjoy ER. But of course when one isn't as aged as the other of course the flavor profiles will be different.

Eagle was $38 at Specs last Friday. But I have seen it priced double that at independent stores.

Any of you bourbon snobs that don’t want that nasty Blanton or Eagle Rare, let me know and I will get rid of it for you…..as a public service of course.

Eagle Rare has been available in Wyoming at about $30 lately.
Garrison Brothers just recently made it's way to Wyoming, at $80 for regular, way too high a price.
Balcones also showed up recently.

I just had a pour of Old Forester Statesman. Excellent stuff. I really like Blantons and ER if it is at the msrp price. Me and some buddies recently blinded a store pick Blantons, EH Taylor Single Barrel and ER and all 3 of of put ER first.
