Can't tell you the last time we put up a tree it's been years well over fifteen years. Is yours real or FAKE?

Na. They’re the same just slightly different. This year with both in-laws not around, it’s not as decorative. It’s used to be really jolly and bright. grin

No Christmas tree but I did put up hanging icicle lights around the front of the house. First time in a few years, just felt right this year.

It is not a contest. You may as well dip your toe in the water especially if you have children. Just think of the pride when they see that that they have shared the tree with the whole wide world. cheers

Dasher. One of Santa's fastest reindeer, Dasher originally came from the German word “Dascher” which means 'purse maker' in English, so Dasher can even sew!

My wife is a Christmas tree nut.......we have five up. Living room, den, breakfast room, two on the front porch with lights and bulbs.
And one at the ranch that is a cedar tree that she puts a few balls on each year.

Beautiful trees !
I'll pick up a $10 permit tomorrow and Sat. morning we'll head up to the NF and cut a nice sub alpine fir for our tree.
I have a hand sequined tree skirt my late Aunt made for me to put around the base.
I'll post when we get it up.

Re: Christmas Trees - 12/12/21 09:25 PM

There are some good looking trees on this thread. I didn't have the heart to get a Christmas tree this year, but maybe next year.

Over the years my wife and I slowly worked regular store bought ornaments out and replaced them with ornaments the kids made, ones we had made with their pictures, ones we bought at places we visited, some that her mom made, and my wife's hummingbird ornaments. 99% of the ornaments are ones that meant something to us, so I hope I can get back on track next year. I think when I get back to it I'll let my lazy / efficient side take over and get a nice artificial tree.

FAKE NEWS Pays really well when they can spend 500k on a tree, FFN.
