When he opens it up - 04/15/20 02:48 PM

What do you think will change, if anything?

Re: When he opens it up - 04/15/20 02:57 PM

Short term: I think the virus will emerge again in full force in certain areas called hot spots.

Long term: I think the virus will take many more people and then mutate and take out even more people

It will be phased and measured, dining with xx% capacity, spacing etc... Employee temp checks, more masks....just like essential businesses are doing it now.

Re: When he opens it up - 04/15/20 03:19 PM

Social distancing will still be strongly encouraged. Many people will remain working from home or alternate throughout the office working from home.

There will be a spike in the virus which will cause an the media and many here to cry and blame Trump.

I would say the worst thing that will happen will be teachers getting sick and the poor children that will deal with that trauma. I'm not sure about the average age of our teachers administrators janitors bus drivers cafeteria workers etc are but I would say a good many are in the higher percentage category. I know in small towns a lot of that work force is retired folks driving the buses etc.

It'll be back enough for the Dems and MSM to blow it out of proportion again and demand balloting by mail. That way, no ID is required to vote and they can print up all the bogus ballots they need to get rid of Trump. That's the only way they can win and they know it.

I'm not into the conspiracy side of it but there will be a larger mailing of ballots this election due to the virus. If the voter registrations rolls ,which these ballot lists are drawn from, are littered with ineligible, illegals and deceased people then that is no doubt opening elections up to massive fraud.

The Swedish Public Health Agency announced a death toll of 1,203 people from Covid-19 on Wednesday, a rate of 118 per million inhabitants, compared with 55 in Denmark and just 13 in Finland, both of which imposed strict early lockdowns to curb the virus’s spread.

118 per million would be roughly 43,660 deaths in the US. We are at 25,327 supposedly. And that's with all of our sheltering in place

But with our population being 39 times more and the exponential growth of the virus the number would be a lot higher.

What are you even talking about? What does number tested and high percentages of negatives have anything to do with the number of infected if we had not all been locked down? I do not think you comprehended what I said, at all.....

Most of the tested are people that felt like they had it, were scared they had it, or just curious if they had it and did a drive through test. And to top it all off the tests are only 70% accurate anyway. I had a friend that had it and tested negative but after he recovered tested positive for the antibodies....

And tonight Trump said it was ok that they were all being listed as covid deaths. WTF? No, definitely not ok for co-mobidity since it gives us no real idea.

Where do you get this antibody test? I still don't believe the timeline that has been put out, and I sure as hell think I had it at the end of last year. Too many people that got seriously ill that were otherwise in fine physical condition with similar symptoms for us to have all been told that "it's just some virus that will work its course"

I honestly don't know where he got it done, but know that it should be widely available this week or next. There are quite a few people I know that believe they had it back in December, the death rates and ICU numbers do not support this. The RT at work that deals with these patients constantly said that no one had it back then. That said both my sons had some viral infection back then that tested negative for the flu.

Unreal, the CDC has up to the minute statistics, super accurate, by who, oh, by the CDC...how many from cancer or flu?
We dont know, we just pile em up and our excell spreadsheet looks so sexy....all full of colors made by 17 yr old clueless interns.

In Europe, they counted each dead person from nursing homes to be associated to corona or not, we dont give a schiat.

Where else do you think the data comes from? Counties report it to state and states report it to federal. Most of it is automated after the local completes the online data entry. Look at the trend

Our office is shared workspace with way more people in the building than it was built for. I can see them staggering who must work from home going forward though. I try to all the time regardless if they want me to or not. And I rarely get sick because of it. I can work from a deer blind and sometimes do! Luckily my boss hunts too.

To many people with their head buried in the sand on Covid...I understand completely getting the economy going again but is it worth it to keep Covid going too? People bitching and moaning about rushing back to work isnt unheard of in any situation but this is also the first time 90% of our population has dealt with type of dilemma...vigilance over ignorance I say.

Hopeful/Wishful thinking on President Trump's part and I dont blame him but this has already shown that the medical professionals and he himself dont truly know what Covid will do next or when it may actually get to a level that will allow everyone to get back to work as a fully functioning nation.

I’m guessing youre thinking of the timing I listed it has to do with me HAVING to sell it. How’s this? I collect watches, have as long as I can remember. Here are the ones worth mentioning of what I currently have at home, other at the bank. I assure you, the listing of that watch had nothing to do with me needing the money, neither did the 13 year old $7000 Rover.

Trumps says its time to start getting back to work. I trust him over the celebs

Trump also extended his social distancing guidelines until April 30.
No one knows for sure but it's doubtful his 'get back to work plan' will start before May 1, then an incremental phase in.
Right now it appears between a 4 - 8 week phase in is the hopeful target.

There will still be conditions, restrictions & requirements many won't agree with.
Like testing before returning to work, using basic PPE, possibility of needing Covid19 negitive health certificates, taking employees temp before entering work place.
Go to work for 3 days, come in one morning with a slight temperature you don't know about or even notice, 14 days quarantine, then re test.

Like some people say about covid19, some will live some will die, the weak will die the strong will survive...
Same thing goes for businesses.
Must be upsetting & scary for some people to realize their job / career is non essential. ( healthcare & o&g the exceptions )
No reason to take it out on folks that haven't missed a minutes work or have an increased work load during all this.

If you're going crazy sitting at home doing nothing, thousands of places are hiring as fast as they can.
No one besides you is stopping you from working.

Otherwise, put your patience hat on.
The 'get back to work plan' / 'turning the economy back on plan' won't be like flipping on a light switch.
No matter what, it's going to take some time.

C'mon Man - that's not important to the media - why even bring it up? It's the woman's rights that counts.

Everything on here is in fun. I may get into some back and forth discussions on occasions on subjects I may have a difference of opinion on, but every person I have came across from the forum have been some of the best examples of humanity and on any given day I have no doubt many of them would give another the shirt of their backs.

Trump has some good advisors, like I said before, they have a tough decision to make, we better pray they make the right decision, or this time might just be just a walk in the park before the big storm.

I assure you, the listing of that watch had nothing to do with me needing the money, neither did the 13 year old $7000 Rover.

Btw, nice Milgauss up...I've been considering the Z-Blue myself. cheers

As we go through each phase, there will be those who choose to remain behind while others move on and get their lives back to normal. Just like the little kid who gets his/her feelings hurt and pouts in the corner, those who choose to stay behind will eventually realize no one is paying them any attention and they'll quietly step outside like nothing happened. Some of these may also find themselves forced out of their corner when their employer tells them if they want a paycheck they'll need to have their asses at work the next morning.
