Unusual eyes - 03/30/20 10:20 PM
A friend sent me this, said the calf was about a week old. I’ve been around cows for years and have never seen this.
Asking the THF brain trust if they’ve seen eyes like these and if there should be any concern.

I would only be concerned if it could talk and spin its head around 360 degrees.
That don’t look right. Probably blind, although will learn to live via smell and sound. Lots of developmental eye issues that can cause that kind of look, but not many give any decent level of vision in humans.

There's about a dozen good guesses on what might be going on.
For me its hard to see in the pic if the eyes are white, blueish or if they're solid / opaque or the coloration is transparent.
Or if the oddness is from the cornea, anterior chamber, iris or pupil.
I've seen many calves with various eye colorations with and without blindness and or disease.
Other than the eyes, how is the calf doing?
Cow & bull vaccinated properly pre breeding?
