They were actually boycotted by Dems not to long ago because they donate to republicans.

I like both the burgers and the fries.

Re: In n out - 08/05/19 03:21 AM

I call their burgers salt patties. I don’t see what the big deal is. Whataburger has gone to crap as well. I only eat burgers at mom and pop type burger joints now.

Garbage...fries too
Posted By: beaversnipe

Re: In n out - 08/05/19 03:31 AM

Yep, in out burgers lil too salty, but still a solid 8 as far as fast food. Mc donalds. Prolly a 4
Fries though, to be not frozen and cut, a solid 9. Fries were excellent.
I eat in out twice a year, and ask my fries well done and no added salt to the burgers.

Toms burgers are amazing, cooper and I30 in Arlington.

In and out is awful. Have tried them more than once thinking it was going to be different, nope just plain awful.

Re: In n out - 08/05/19 11:17 AM

In and Out has the best fast food burger out there, hands down. Took me a while to find the style I like.

I get the Double Double all the way with mustard instead of their spread. Veggies are fresh and crisp, and the meat always taste fresh as well.

horrible fries and an average burger. pass.

For fast food....In n Out is pretty good.
Whataburger NOT!

Re: In n out - 08/05/19 12:25 PM

Here we go again.

I like IN n OUT because every burger is cooked when you order it. A lukewarm hamburger sucks. If it's not fresh and hot, I ain't coming back.
I also like their packaging, no plastic or styrofoam.

It's a pretty good burder but there are obviously better burgers and there are many that I don't care for.

Was not impressed by In n Out burger. Nothing special. Freddy’s had a decent burger, but the fries were awful - little crunchy stick things. If they had real fries I’d go back.

Thank goodness there isn't a in and out in Bandera. When I used to work I tried them a few times in Ca. The worst HB I have had anywhere is better that the ones at in and out.

In and Out were good for me. What ,a burger was good yesterday, guess I was just hungry.

Re: In n out - 08/05/19 10:36 PM

Had in and out a.fww weeks ago for the 1st time. Not a.bad Burger. Had the double and is say the patties were pretty thin probably about same amount of beef as on a Whataburger single. But all and all good burger I'd eat there again. Work threw a gift card in my box one day only reason I tried it. I'd ea there again. It's no Whataburger but it's better than the other fast food burgers.

Never been to In N Out. The closest one to me has a Rosas right next door and they are faster than most fast food places anyway so Rosas wins every time.

Fuddruckers burgers are my favorite, sweet potato fries are okay too. Worth the extra 10-15 minutes.

Re: In n out - 08/06/19 12:40 AM

The first fast-food hamburgers I ever had were from Hardee's Hamburgers, at the corner of Belt Line and Coit Road in about 1966.
This was far north Dallas when cotton farms and black top roads were our neighborhoods.
It was a real simple burger, beef patty, about a 4" bun, some kind of "secret sauce", and pickles........maybe onions too.
They were $0.19 each.
This was long before McDonald's built their first store on I-635 (LBJ then) and Monfort Road.
I was in High School by then, about 1969.

To me, there's still something about a smaller, simple hamburger.

Things have sure changed.

We had a place like that called Henry's Hamburgers, 19 cents or 6 for a $1,this was in 1964. Hamburgers were a bun, a patty, a squirt of mustard and ketchup and a couple of slices of pickles.

Re: In n out - 08/06/19 09:05 PM

In 'n Out, agree that they are salty. Good fries. I eat burgers now at home cooked on the Blackstone griddle. Even Whataburger and Sonic have gone downhill and prices increased,. There is a little place in Grapevine however that has a great burger - Lucy's Lot - get the one topped with chopped brisket.
Posted By: mow

Re: In n out - 08/07/19 12:45 PM

my top 3.
1Grumps in Granbury
2 Whataburger
3 Sonic (after 8..because of their half price strawberry cheesecake shakes)

Re: In n out - 08/07/19 12:53 PM

I like Grump's.
Frequent the one in Burleson.

Their burgers are like ours at home.
Again, hot and fresh. Gotta be hot and fresh.

My rotation lately has been Whataburger and Freddy’s. I would eat In and Out over McDonalds, Wendy’s and Burger King.

In n out burgers aren't that good, but pretty much any fast food burger isn't good. I can't remember the last time I ordered a burger that was under $10 and really enjoyed it.

Where you getting $10+ burgers from in DFW? Even the best locals are under $10 that I recall but haven't hit all the places. My favorite is Liberry Burger and under $10 unless you want Bison or Lamb.

Usually hit In Out once a year. Whataburger more often on way back from hunting. I had a McDs cheeseburger for the first time in 4 or 5 years the other day, actually enjoyed it. Boy wanted McNuggets so I said why not.

$10 is pretty standard for a burger and Fry's at most decent places.

Unless it’s fast food burger you’re going to spend more than $10.00 for a meal. Heck new Burger Strett is more than $10.00.

Bacon Cheesgueger, small fries and a large drink at 5 Guys is $17.48.

Not exactly fast food, but not what I would consider a high end burger joint.
