Gate Locks - 05/22/19 02:02 PM

Found a new place to hunt. Problem, front gate has about 10 locks on the chain. The new land owner has no idea who's lock is who's How would you go about removing the locks?

How do you deal with the Utility company and pumper. Who need access to the place. The new owner lives two hours away.

You don't, the land owner needs to figure out which locks are who's and remove any unnecessary locks then figure out and inform you of the placement for your lock.

Even the LO can't remove the locks / cut off / restrict access to those that have legal right to enter the property. (utility, oil&gas, farming or ranching lease holders, easements etc...)

I have been locked out of my place several times. I put a big flat head screwdriver through the lock and hit it as hard as I can with the back of my axe. It breaks their lock and now they are locked out until they replace their lock.
