Is it illegal to have one in your posession and if not, can they be mounted/stuffed/"taxidermied"?

It sure would be delicate work, wouldn't it? I had one disabled in my backyard the other day,not sure what happened to it, but I'm sure it wasn't good for him. But,if one dies naturally??
I'm betting it's not legal.

They are not legal, along with all other 'song birds'. These birds are federally protected. Even if it dies naturally..just leave it lay.

Yep definitely not legal. Protected by federal law. You cannot even possess a feather of it.

You definitely do not want to get caught with one
