Smoking in the rain

It's sprinkling now. The forecast is for 90% chance of rain today. I got invited to ribs and I don't know what all. I volunteered a rack of baby backs. I'm expected to take them over at ten. Ever smoke in the rain?

I've done it. Might have dropped the temp on the smoker a little but really didn't affect it too much.

You can smoke them a short time for flavor, then finish them off in the oven. But the rain only bothers the one having to tend the smoker.

I'm taking potato salad and Frito salad. The Frito salad is great with home grown tomatoes.

Units

1.1 head lettuce, torn in small pieces.
2.1 (15 ounce) can ranch style beans, rinsed & drained (kidney beans)
3.chopped green onion.
4.2 tomatoes, diced.
5.1 cup grated cheddar cheese.
6.2 cups Fritos corn chips.
7.1 (16 ounce) bottle Catalina dressing.
