Nicky D's in crowley has the best burgers I've ever had. If you're on a diet I wouldnt go. Your bun is almost translucent by the time you get done due to the greese. I'm pretty picky about my burgers, and this by far takes the cake. They are said to be featured on Diners, Drive-in, and Dives in the near future.
Take 35 south, exit 1187 in crowley, go all the way down 1187 past 731 and its on your right.

OK B&D, Now I must edit my previous post. If in Lampasas, Brad's is better than Storm's. Seem's the Storm's there has gone downhill a little. Still a great burger...just not as good as it once was,IMO. However the Storm's in Burnet is fantastic. Now I'm hungy and craving a good burger. I will have to go to one of them this weekend.
In Austin, "Might Fine" makes a good burger.

Can yall tell me where Brads is in Lampasses ?
Posted By: amick
Re: Best Burgers around! - 12/17/09 09:13 PM
texfork, Brads is on a side street off of 183 (Key). Turn at the sonic and it is down on the right hand side. Drive thru only with picnic tables. From what I understand the owner use to be the cook at Storm's and then opened his own place a few years ago. Sorry, but never remember the street names even though my family is from there.
Can yall tell me where Brads is in Lampasses ?
105 W 6th St
Lampasas Tx 76550
Going south down 183 it is right before the split at 281. Turn right at the HEB food market if you go past the McDonalds you have gone to far. Turn on 6th street and its a little house on the right.

Everywhere I go, I try to find the best burgers and BBQ. Most fit somewhere in the middle of the bell curve. Here is my list of favs.
Denton Independent: Denton on the square (Double meat, all you can eat handcut fries, and beans). Been 100+ times. Still make it 1-2x/month living north of Bonham. Probably will factor in my cause of death.
Twisted Root: Dallas (Buffalo Burger) Try the homemade BBQ sauce and katsup, and watermelon tea
Meer’s: Wichita Mountains in Lawton Ok (made from Longhorn)
Gene’s: Wichita Falls (good old fashion burger)
Bakers: McKinney (Made fast, but no chain crap here).

Take 35 south, exit 1187 in crowley, go all the way down 1187 past 731 and its on your right.
http://nickydscrowley.com/ Great burgers. I live in Crowley too. However, if you take 1187 towards mansfeild and look of to the left about 5 miles after you pass the 35 access roads you will see a place called "Burgers and Shakes" it blowes Nicky Ds out of the water!
The little stand? I think it's called Myrtles or something. or the general store? The general store is ok, I've had better. I work in mansfield off 1187, so I drive it everyday to and from work
Myrtles is great, The general store not so much
