My Blue Lacy is a tracking ace, you can’t trick her up.

She’s got the “find em’” part down pat.

She goes nuts when she trees one, she’ll chew the bark off, try to climb the tree, and follow from tree to tree, but she won’t bark.

Strange question at face value, but how do you teach a dog to bay bark!?

I wouldn’t know how to train one to bark. I had a lab that was the same way on squirrels. I think he’d been beaten enough not to bark at anything that he just wouldn’t do it. It’s something they do or don’t.

Just put a tracking collar on the dog. You will likely kill more squirrels with a silent tree dog.
