Are you wanting a complete collar system or just add on collars?

I think I saw one in the classifieds.

Add on collars.
I have one unit that fails after the dog gets out about 100 yards. Garmin's new units are not compatible to these (thanks Garmin, I'll remember that).
I want to buy a couple extra receivers to insure I'll have this system for a few more years.

I bought a new 3g collar online a couple of months ago.
I think I need to buy a whole new system along with more collars, or I be in the same boat in a few years.

Based on lots of reviews, apparently ever since Garmin took over and 'updated' the collars, they have turned Tri-tronics stuff in to garbage. Recently purchased a SportDog 825 instead.

I don't know if it's garbage or not. I do know they could have easily made the new compatible with the old but opted to have all of us buy all new systems.

I don't like that.
When it comes time, I'll be shopping another brand.

The new units are far from garbage. I have 2 collars I'll sell.

LCS gave me a Garmin upgrade for the price difference. The new one is in the mail and I'll return the old one today.

Do you guys hate returning stuff as much as I do?

I called collar clinic for a new $39 battery for my g70 handheld. The guy told me an idiot could install it. I'll let you guys know what the next grade below an idiot might be, or maybe not. There's an idiot next door who might be able to help me.

I got the base off. There were two little bitty Phillips screws. I found a little bitty Phillips screwdriver and got the screws right out. There was a sticky O ring that caused me a few problems but the base did finally come off. The battery pack looks like several triple A batteries taped together. We will see what happens when the new battery pack arrives.

Found the collars I needed, even picked up a new transmitter. (cha-ching)
Now I'm hunting spare batteries.

Seems Garmin has let replacement battery stock run to zero all over America.
Back orders run back to August.

Nice.

You can get them at collar clinic for $35.

Albert Einstein's legacy is still live and well. I fried my replacement battery. I got the positive and negative aligned right, but put the bottom on backwards. It stunk up my bedroom.

Bill, You burned up your collar??

I burned the remote. The collar seemed fine. I threw it in the trash. I have a new Garmin.

I have a tri-tronics sport 65 beeper G2, and Garmin Astro 220 DC 20--DC30 would like to sell as a package. They are in excellent condition, would be happy to e-mail pictures. 500.00 takes it all. Located in Richardson Tx.

No one should need a beeper along with a Garmin. I sold the same thing minus the beeper for $300. You can buy them new for $500.

Wow didn't realize they deprecated like that, the sport 65 cost 350.00 new. The astro with a 30 and a 20 had to cost in excess of 500.00 (I don't remember). Appreciate the info.

Thanks Joe Bettacchi
