Affordable Kansas Deer Hunts 2014

Lets talk affordable Kansas deer hunts.
Hickory Creek Outfitters has been conducting hunts in Kansas for 15 years and we have accumulated some awesome property's. Almost 40,000 acres of some of the best trophy deer habitat in the state. We hunt Chautauqua,Elk,Cowley counties. We have almost 300 stands in place and put 40+ new ones out every year. Box blinds, Tent, Tri-pods,16' ladder stands and some loc-on type stands when we can find a straight tree. This is all fare chase hunting with no trophy fees or hidden costs. Timber ? We got it! None of that wide open terrain like most of Kansas. River and creek bottoms, timbered draws, some cropland (beans,corn) corn feeders, some food plots. We hold a 135" minimum on bucks we want killed. It's been 100% draw for my UNIT the last 7 years so if you apply you will receive your deer tag. Application period is April 1-26 so book your spot and don't let another year go by without hunting Kansas!!!

What unit? I already hunt unit 8 but looking for a better experience.

We hunt nearly 40,000 ac in UNIT 12

So how did you do this season 2013 (bow)? Hunters/kill total

This season was awesome there was one week of bow hunters in camp that if it wasn't for a wound we would have went 100% which is unheard of in the fair chase archery world! But for the most part Opportunity rates are hovering around 90% on 135" or better bucks with success rates being 45% which is still good. As a average our rut hunters will see 26-28 bucks during their 6 days of hunting. We had one guy from NJ that saw 50 bucks and went home with a tag sandwich, but that was his choice...We have tons of references from both hunters that killed and ones that did not !!

Those prices are very competitive. Kansas bow hunting during the rut is pretty hard to beat.

I have not changed my prices since i started this operation 15 years ago!!!
Affordable prices keep my camps full every year.
A lot of whitetail outfitters have screwed themselves away from the table with their unrealistic prices.
