Small feed blower? - 02/16/20 12:31 PM
Does the THF braintrust have any links/guidance on where to buy a small feed blower? (Not the big trailers.)
I found a few defunct links (Mumme's, etc.) on TexasBowhunter, but nothing current.
No DIY instructions please. I just wind up cussing a blue streak and throwing crap all over. It's embarrassing.
I'm just getting into feeding protein. 3 of the feeders have lids you can open and close from the ground, but I need something with a 'U' shaped PVC etc. nozzle that I can lift up and blow into the hopper. 'Trying to avoid having a feed store come out and do it and I'm getting too old to do the ladder and bag thing. 1 of the 3 (a 2K# one) also has 2" fire hose connections on the lower portion.
I know stand-and-fills are better, but having the spouts up high, out of reach of my plague of pigs, is nice too.
Edit: I found "Speed Feed" link. $1,450.00 for a small metal hopper and a Shindaiwa blower motor, no piping included. Holy...!
