Anyone have a Blynd brand blind?

Looking for some feedback on them. Pros and cons

I know where a good used one is and trying to decide if I want or need it. This one is a 4x4 on a 5 foot stand.

I've heard that plastic can really heat up inside, have to keep highly ventilated during warmer hunts..

They're adequate, not ideal.

Loud in that bumping the sides sounds like beating a drum.

They are light, making them easy to set up. Durable and inexpensive.

Ive got 4 of them that I purchased from the previous leaseholder. I haven't replaced them, but I'd probably spend a few bucks more for quieter and larger blinds if I was in the market.

Real noisy & if you don't put some xtra braces in them ,flimsy. I had one & considered it junk.

I had one years ago and they are good for what they cost. As was stated above, they can be hot when we have warm days but then nice and warm for cold days. Need to make sure you tie them down well as they will come apart pretty easy if they tip over and hit the ground. Light weight and easy to move around. 4x4 too small for my wants so I went with a 4x6 when I bought my next blind.

I used one for close to a decade and though they are loud, I never had any problems with it. Light enough that you can move them easily with just a pickup bed.

Obviously not a high end blind, but I really liked mine.

I have hunted out of them for years with great success.

Pros:
As mentioned they are very lite and are easy to move if needed.

The windows slide easily.

They will last for years and are pretty much maintenance free with no painting required.
(Only thing to rot is the wooden floor but it can be changed easily if needed)

When buying new they come with offseason window inserts.

Cons:
As mentioned they can be noisy if kicked (but what stand isn’t)

They have a half door making them harder to enter. Also if its an older model the doors will slide from left to right and are very noisy. If it’s the newer model the door hinges making it much easier and quieter when opening the door.

The windows slide so easily but they can actually blow out in heavy winds – But this issue can be solved by simply drilling and installing pins on the outside edge of each window.


PS… I have one I’m thinking of selling. The only reason I’m doing so is both my boys are getting bigger and there isn’t enough room for two or more grown people.
It is a camo painted 4x4 with a camo painted 10ft tower. Also have the offseason window inserts, tower feet pads along with a shooting rest.

The stand frames are great. The box is noisy, hot,crap. The only thing I like is they are light but I would never buy one. I bought the frame and built my own box once

So do you think you guys think it is loud\noisy because you are inside the blind? In other words do the deer react to the noise? There should be a way to lessen the noise just like people do in wood blinds with carpet on the walls? Or I bet spray foam insulation in areas would absorb some of the noise.

So this guy has a 2 yr old 4x4 blind and a 5 ft stand for it. He says its like new and just needs a bigger blind so he can take grandchildren. He is asking $550 for it which I thought was a good price considering the combination new is over $800 I think. It also includes the offseason window protection inserts.

I am still debating on it but if someone wants to jump in with both feet and take it I will pass along the contact info via pm.

That sounds too high--- I've never had a real problem with them and killed all kinds of deer out of them. Quiet in a deer blind is a weird concept.

$550 for both is a really good deal, especially given that it's already put together and you don't have to jack with that, which is a huge pain in the arss.

Buy. Anchor. Hunt. Don't over think it.

The bang of hitting the side depends upon how far away your feeder is. Which noise have I seen a deer adversely react to? The "crackle" of a cereal bar wrapper. Freaks them out!

Hunted out of 3 of them for YEARS. They are maintenance free. We did have to put some bracing in the corners on one of them... but that was due to flying out of the bed of the pickup going 65 down the interstate. The windows are noisy to open.

They are only loud if you hit the sides.... hint don't hit the sides, deer look at you when you hit the side of wood and fiberglass blinds too. We had ours for almost 20 years and never had to replace a floor. We now have all homemade blinds I find the "blynds" to be no hotter in the middle of the summer than any other blind, your gonna sweat your rear off in any of them!

They are cheap lite durable and serve a purpose. For me I prefer to build my own, but they work good.

I had two, sold one this season. I enjoy it, yes it's loud but it keeps me dry and I've shot a few deer out of it. The new ones have full doors and the windows are easy to open and quiet. The 4x4 is a tad small, but if its just you it will work. I hunt out of the double, gives me room to stretch on occasion while I'm waiting. I think a buddy has a couple he's selling here in SA, if you're interested let me know. Pretty sure it's cheaper than that for the 4x4 on a 5 ft stand.
