How does this idea sound?

How does this idea sound? - 10/25/12 11:29 PM

Got an invite for the last weekend of bow season in the Hill country. No bow blinds on the place but plenty of brush close enough to the feed pens to set up and have a 20 yard shot. Brush isn't tall enough for a tripod or tree stand. Pop up not an option due to cost (and my son needing $400 worth of meds this morning). I bought a 12' section of 56" tall realtree burlap from academy for $15. Back against a tree and set up the burlap in a U shape in front of me and on sides. Should just have my head showing above the top. Any feedback on how you think this might work?

It's already been run through the wash with just water and some scent killing soap. I'm gonna pack it in a rubbermaid container with some cut cedar for the trip.

Son is ok..... Wife let the insurance lapse. Reg meds for acid reflux but when you're 7 months old they don't make a generic for previcid solutabs that dissolve in water. Had to pay out of pocket. Little ones come before hunting.

Besure the sun is not behind you that burlap won't hide you with the sun behind you.

Are you using stakes/sticks to hold the burlap up? if so make sure the ground isn't too rocky to drive them in. Hill Country is rocky in many places.
