Moultrie power panel

Moultrie power panel - 09/01/08 06:35 PM

Does anyone know if you still have to keep batteries in the I40 if you have the power panel hooked up to it. I have played with it at home and it works without the batteries but didn't know if you still need to have them in for a back up. Thanks

No, you don't need batteries in for back up. I've had my solar panel on my I40 for about 3 weeks now. 100% charge. Just be sure to put it where it can receive the most sunlight. Very good investment. Walmart online has them for $59.

You can have both, in case your panel runs out. I have both batteries and the panel and the instructions say that if the panel is not fully charged the camera will switch the D batteries.
Matter of preference, but you dont have to have them in the camera if you dont want to.
