Hornady LeverEvolution

Hornady LeverEvolution - 09/13/06 06:17 PM

Just returned from the range after trying the new Hornady LeverEvolution, 160 grain 30-30 ammo.

All I've got to say is my old Winchester 94 open sights never shot this good.

Four inch group out at 100 yards open sights and old eyes.

I'm impressed to say the least. I don't want to sound like I'm bragging, but I had a better group than the guy next to me shooting a 30-06 bolt action, with a scope! He had young eyes also.

Now to see what it does to a hog!

Thanks for the post I have been wondering about these. I might need to pick up some. Does anyone know if Hornady is saleing just the bullets themselves for reloaders?

I read someplace that Hornady is in no hurry to offer the bullets for reloading, but I'll bet before too much longer they'll be out there.

I can't even find this ammunition anyplace. Does anyone know anywhere in the DFW area that carries it?

I just bought a box in 45-70 and have shot the 30-30 and I love it. Cabelas has it and cheaper than dirt has it for 30-30 only.

Elk Castle in White Settlement had a poster up for them, but I didn't ask what calibers they had in stock.

I visited the Hornady website to check them out, and they had a little promo video. They had a guy on there that states now he considers his 30-30 a 300yd deer rifle,

Go to www.hornady.com & order it online, they will have it at your house usually within 5 or 6 days. I have been doing it this way for the last couple of years & have been well pleased.
