That stuff is the most confounding ammunition I've ever seen. Bullets are known for jacket separation, but that's far from unprecedented with cup & core projectiles. What I find wild is the accuracy they can be capable of given the range of powder charges I've seen from a single box. Way back when I first started loading I pulled 5 from a box of 3006 and weighed the charges, got something like a 3gr difference from min to max, and that same box shot 1" groups or better in my rifle, always had. Have seen many similar reports from others who've done the same test. It flies in the face of the most basic goals of hand loading ammunition, yet shoots accurately across many make and models of rifles and calibers at a usually very competitive price.
If you handed me a 270 rifle and told me to blindly pick a factory round to shoot 1" groups at 100yds with it, I'd choose the green and yellow box of 130's.
I shot a box of 180 grain core locks out of my 30-06. A 200+ fps range over the group but still held moa groups at 100 yards. I’m a handloader and like to make good ammo but in reality for the average joe factory ammo is far above and beyond serviceable. I shot rem 130’s in my 270 before I reloaded for it, they shot great.
