Unless they've changed their policy, if you go the store, and get them to order your ammo (assuming they don't have what you want on the shelf), they will ship directly to your home with no shipping charge. Their delivery time is very timely, as you mentioned. Best way is to have their stock number(s) in hand when you go there.

Re: Cheaper than Dirt - 11/09/12 01:18 AM

prices jumped almost $100 per 1000 at CTD after the election. I'll never buy from them because of this.

just looked, it was not quite $100 but still...
$459.59 day before
$549.79 day after

I say thats gouging.

Humm, so you can't answer the question? I've bought a lot of Federal GMM at $20-22 a box. I've also bought 1000s of .223 for around .30 cents a round. Never seen prices like that locally, or really online unless it's a special.

Getting the same ammo cheaper is not what I was talking about, it was the fact that CTD raised the prices almost $100 per 1000 the day after the election.
If that in it's self does not bother you then something is wrong.

They are seriously price gouging the hell out of people. I guess there are those that are willing to pay it though.

Re: Cheaper than Dirt - 11/10/12 08:20 AM

I don't know where Michael Tenney still fits in the whole CTD picture, because that guy had layers and layers of llcs and corporations...I worked for him, as did my wife, for several years.

Truth be told--GENIUS ... he was a prepper before prepping was cool. I was somewhere in there like his 8th or 9th retail employee, when there really wasn't a store, and then I had to leave (pre-y2k) for college schedule reasons, and I came back after I got got married, and my wife worked there too, pre, y2k. I would have gotten fired, but I politely resigned, when Michael and his white trash "we've been here long enough we're in charge" failed to fire the retail store manager who was regularly failing to follow ATF policy on the input and outflow of firearms. I don't know what happened to the retail store after my wife and I left, but I know that I wasn't gonna put my initials on a yellow form on a [censored] transaction...I was told that was insubordination, and basically told to quit. Ok...I did. But back to the post at hand...Michael single handedly created the AR-15 price gouging of 1998-1999. There was some word that Colt would, "gasp!" Quit making civilian ARs. Michael was BRILLIANT! He said, "Double the price of ARs, and buy them ALL!" I did. I had a blank check, I literally spent weeks doing nothing but going through the ATF FFL and Knife seller's guide, and I bought EVERY colt AR I could buy. There was some knife seller I cant remember now, Kneifers? Knepers? Something like that, but I snagged HUNDREDS of Colt ARs...we didn't care the configuration, we bought them all. We literally, OVERNIGHT, DOUBLED the price of colt ARs. Folks would come in, and say, I can buy that same thing down off of Northside for half that. Michael's philosophy was, fine, do it. Dude was a genious..we sold Colt ARs for twice market for MONTHS! We created the whole scam of market shortage and we singlehandedly inflated price. Michael made STUPID money. I was threatend with getting shitcanned after Michael hired some dumbass who thought ATF rules on firearms sales were just a suggestion. I rallied the staff who really cared about the future of CTD, and tried to sent Michael the message that we didn't want to see him get into trouble. I'll never forget, being sat down and told that, "this isn't a democracy," "We aren't looking for opinions". Just to save face, I waited a few weeks, then me an and my wife gave notice. Thank God, we never followed them into their financial troubles nor their legal audits...I'm not sure, but I don't think Michael nor any of his white trash advisors have anything to do with the company now. I think he bailed like a smart guy, before his [censored] got bit. His white trash management staff? I have no idea.
