Homemade Crossbow

A few guys that I served with will be coming to Texas for a weekend of "roughing" it in the boonies. One of the things we will play with is homemade Montagnard crossbows. I will do little modification, I will be using flattened PVC pipe fpr the bow part. I have made these before, but the wood can dry out over time and snap, and that sucks. I have one of the real McCoys, if I can locate pics I will post them.

Most of us will be in our 70's our weekend will include mostly getting caught up on the last years happenings. A few shoots with the bow and a few AR15's. With a catered meal by one of my friends that lives close to our place. A quite weekend.
