Crossbows on sale at Academy

Wanted to get something for me and my boys to hunt with and shoot for fun. Saw they have Barnett brotherhood M4 and Quad 400 on sale this week. Are either one of them worth looking at or buying?

I've got the Quad 400. It's a great intro xbow and killed a nice Hill country buck last Fall. Make sure you get Lumenoks to go on the bolts, they travel so fast you can't see them without them.

The kids will live shooting it as well. With just a little practice I was putting them in the kill zone at 70 yards.

Quad 400 is great bow for the money. Not sure about the brotherhood.

Both Quad 400 and Brotherhood are decent bows. The Brotherhood is smaller width wise and weighs less. They are the least expensive of Barnett's cross bows still made in America.

I bought the Barnett Brotherhood. Really like it.
Picked up a HHA crossbow sight for it.

What kind of broad heads are you using? Illuminated knocks?

I shoot spitfire 125s out of the old model magnesium riser Barnett Buckmaster. Heavy as all get out but deadly! Non illuminated nocks.
