Kill light mount

Kill light mount - 09/09/14 09:48 PM

I've already got an elusive wildlife xlr 250 kill light but I want to mount it to my stabilizer or screw it in in place of my stabilizer if that makes sense. Does anybody know if there's a bracket or anything that can be had to make that work? I know they sell a bow light kit but I don't see any need in buying a second light if I could just rig this one up to work.

You cab use the scope mount and mount it to the stabilizer. I found the 250 to be way to bright and bought the 100 and like it much better.

x2 the 250 is awfully bright for a bow setup. 100 is perfect. That being said, I am not aware of a bow stabilizer (threaded) mount but for the price, might be able to get a knock off lower lumen green/red led package for what a good mount would cost for the Elusive.

The 250 is way too bright for a bow, just like the fellas above mentioned.

Save up for a 100, and get the 2 stage. I shoot most critters at night with my bow light on low.

The 100 has a threaded stud to screw into your stabilizer mount. I will often clamp mine to my Vendetta stab, i made a clamp using some Minerallac straps (for EMT, you can get them in a hardware store) and a bit of electrical tape to protect the stabilizer from scratches.

Practice shooting at night. You may be a pretty fantastic shot during the day, but shooting at night is a whole different experience. Your sight light is critical, too bright, and you wash out the sight picture. Your form will be the most telling thing, lots of folks can't find their peep (because their form is lacking), so all kinds of silly ideas are floating around in that department to compensate.

You can use a small piece of cloth over the end of the light held in place by a rubber band to tone the light down a little for bow use. Just use additional layers until it is at the lumen out put you want.

Just thought I would post this.

I bought my daughter a U lock to lock her bike up at school attached link

homedepot ulock

Well she didn't need the bike attachment she puts it in her back pack. with that said I looked at it and thought man that looks awfully like a flash light mount for a bow. so it is now.. $22
