First Bow Hunt - 08/22/13 05:38 AM
Went on my first bow hunt last weekend. I placed my pop up blind way too close to the pig trail. I am not sure who was more scared when a couple mean sounding pigs basically rubbed against my blind in pitch dark at 6:00 AM and ran off. Needless to say I moved my blind for the afternoon hunt. No luck yet, but will be out again next weekend. Here is a picture from the blind that morning.

Looks like you have too many windows open. Close any that don't have a shooting lane. I generally pic 1 or 2 windows to shoot from. I have the screens up on them but have cut shooting holes in the screens. Wear black and get as far in the back of it as you can. Once I started doing this in a pop up, it was like night and day the number of animals I saw and how close they would come to me. Yours doesn't look brushed up either, I highly suggest brushing in pop-ups.

Hunting pigs. Ended up not sitting in the blind this weekend, to busy missing dove!
