T-Handle Releases

i've been using a Scott "Micro" release for the past year and don't like it a bit. I should have tested it out before i got it but atleast i got it for a good deal in cabela's bargain cave. i'm looking at switching to a t-handle release with a thumb trigger that doesn't strap to your wrist. i'm thinking that it will be more comfortable when i'm anchored in. please share your opinions on this type of release and feel free to make brand recommendations.

I haven't used a T release with a trigger but I used a back release trigger that was shaped like a T. I don't know if that's practical for hunting but I think using any hand-held release is more consistent that one that depends on a wrist strap.

thx for the input. i did a little more research on my release. since i bought it as a returned item that had no package or info with it i didn't know much of anything about the release. come to find out its scott "little bitty goose" and i figured out how to make adjustments that make it fit better and change the trigger tension. went out and shot it some more today and now really like the release.

Not sure where the inconsistancy comes into play w/ a wrist wrap release??? The only thing it does is help you hold it back longer w/o finger fatigue.

I use a Cascade 10 rope release set for a relaxed release and a Scott rope release w/ a spring trigger.

I can switch from one to the other and shoot identical. You should be able to pick up any release and shoot it the same as your own. Reason being is that all it does is holds the bow string back. It is up to you to anchor the same each and every time.

If you ever shot fingers I'd highly recommend some sort of a wrist wrap to prevent the release from flying upon release. Been down that road many years ago. It wasn't funny then, but it is now. LOL
