scope mounting question

will using Tall/high rings cause any problems with siting in a new scope. the objective will set quite a bit off the barrel, but i really do not want to spend another 50 bucks on rings since I have these. thoughts?

I'm sure someone will tell you why you want to use shorter rings but I've been useing a set of see throughs that sit WAY high for years and never had any problem with them. I'm not even sure I want to know why shorter is better...

Your high rings "will work", but if you demand the most accuracy at long distances that your scope, gun, and shooting skills can offer, get the rings that mount it closer to the bbl. Imagine your rifle setting on the bench pointed at a target 300 yards away. If you directed a laser from your scope, and one from the bbl, there will be two distinct paths. The closer they are togather, there will be less angle of parallax. This is a bigger problem at long distances. For hunting, it will not cause you to miss a deer.

mostly depends on how high the comb of your stock is in relation to the top of the reciever. if you can get a good cheek weld dont worry about it

If you can use a cheek weld, it will be fine. If you have to use a chin weld, you will have to determine if that's comfortable for you or not. It will shoot fine but you will need to do more brain work or adjustment work if you have target knobs when shooting out long ranges.
