My dad likes to collect old long bows, and he called a guy about old Bear Kodiak Magnum bow he had for sale! After a short conversation he went to go take a look at the bow!
The bow was owned by a old man (85 years old) and after my dad bought the bow he told my dad he was selling all the hunting stuff he had! So my dad asks him what else he has for sale the the guy starts diging around in his garage and pulls out a Winchester Model 70 Featherweight (Pre 64) in 243 Winchester in 98% condition with a 3x9 Redfield scope!! Then the shocker came when he said he would take $550 for it!!!
I have been pricing them on Gun Broker and they are asking between $1300-$1800 in lesser condition than the one my dad just bought!
I have always wanted a Pre 64 Featherweight, but just never could turn loose of that kind of money!
